Sustainability

Our Approach

Octave takes environmental, social and governance (ESG) responsibilities seriously. We believe many of our shareholders, customers and business partners do too. Social responsibility is integral to our business operations and integrated into our policies and procedures.

CSR Reports

In 2022, we introduced our inaugural Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report, which was updated and amended in 2025. The CSR report highlights our corporate culture and attention to ESG factors in our everyday decision-making and long-term strategy. We have woven our ESG stance into our corporate policies, and we voluntarily report on sustainability using the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) frameworks.

Environmental Commitment

Octave recognizes the importance of minimizing its environmental footprint and is committed to maintaining an environmentally conscious workplace. The direct environmental footprint of our company is modest, given the service nature of our business. Even so, we strive to be environmentally responsible in our business operations.

Social Commitment

Together with our employees, Octave drives change inside and outside the workplace. Externally, we support many charities, both domestic and abroad, and provide opportunities, as well as paid time off, for our employees to volunteer in the community. Internally, Octave demonstrates its social commitment by fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.

Governance Commitment

Good corporate citizenship is both ethically and commercially important to us. Our long-term success depends not only on how we execute against our strategic priorities, but also how we manage our relationships with our employees, business partners, customers, stockholders, and the communities in which we work.

ESG Oversight

In 2021, an internal ESG committee was established to focus on enhancement of relevant policies, procedures and disclosures to reflect Octave’s ESG practices and objectives. To ensure that ESG is appropriately managed and communicated throughout the organization, we have designed the following governance structure:

  • Board of Directors: Primary oversight of ESG activities has been assigned to the Governance & Nominating Committee, which will oversee strategy and public reporting
  • Executive Leadership Sponsors: Octave's CEO, General Counsel and Group Chief Operating Officer will provide direction on ESG strategy and public reporting
  • ESG Committee: Senior leaders within the company have accountability and are responsible for ESG reporting and policy initiatives
  • Employees: Octave’s commitment to ESG is firmwide and includes input and participation from employees across the organization
